The hero garden is unlocked after you raise 1 hero chao of any kind. It is set place in a heavenly - cloudy area, with a marble looking building set in it. on DC vers there is a lake running thru the middle of the garden complete with a bridge. This was removed in the gcn vers because of the errors it made.
Standing ontop of the structure you can see most everything. Sometimes chao would fall asleep up on there and sort of get stuck in it. Removing them from it required great skill, and they usually fell in the water anyways.
The ball prize from the races for the hero garden is a pink and green striped ball, with stars. In the back you can see the vmu transporter, complete with wings to match the garden. There is also a random floating platform in the background, but you can't go to it. There is also one of the 'crack pillars'. Chao are attracted to these like cats are to catnip. They can stay there for hours.
